Atmospheres Part 2 - Atmosphere of FAITH
An atmosphere can be defined as a surrounding or pervading mood, environment, or influence. I believe God wants us to create and live in the atmosphere of faith. We are to be people of faith who have placed their expectation in a God who is good and who wants to do wonders in our lives.
An atmosphere of faith has a starting place. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith comes by hearing the WORD of GOD.
For the atmosphere of faith to be activated in our lives and churches we must do two things: 1. Tune our ears to hear. 2. Declare the Word of promise. If we are going to walk in anything of significance, and experience heaven on earth we must declare Gods WORD! A Word of promise heard and spoken will produce an atmosphere of faith in our hearts and church services.
The atmosphere of faith is a manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit upon His Word in our lives individually and corporately. As we begin to declare our belief in a great God who is able to do what He said He would do, a spirit of expectation and anticipation is released into the atmosphere and His presence begins to influence everything we are and will do.
The atmosphere of faith gives you and I the capacity to receive what God says about us, our identity! It is an assurance and guarantee that something significant is coming our way, our purpose! An atmosphere of faith is where miracles happen, where lives are redeemed from sin, refreshing and healing take place, people are set free and nations are touched with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
It is impossible to please God without faith! We must believe that God is able! He rewards those who diligently seek HIM and ground themselves in believing HIS nature and character. Faith moves past your logical thinking process and causes you to be bold in the moment! It’s a bold belief even when your circumstances give you no reason to hope. Romans 4:21 Abraham was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promised.
The atmosphere of faith is a present reality! It’s the substance created for us to walk into the supernatural in a given moment. Hebrews 11:1– Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Faith is an established conviction concerning things unseen, it a settled expectation of future reward.
Each of us is given a measure of faith to begin but your faith can and should be growing and expanding! Romans 12:3 – For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
God wants us to develop and live in the atmosphere of faith. Faith always requires a response on our part. We must put action to the faith God is stirring in our hearts or it is dead. Faith without a corresponding action is dead. James 2:20 AMP
When was the last time you challenged yourself to step out in faith? When you lead are you leading from faith or reason? Have you put action to your faith? Would people say the atmosphere coming from your life & church is an atmosphere of faith?
